Coronation Street have joined with the Royal Philharmonic orchestra to record Coronation Street -Rogues, Angels, Heroes & Fools – the album to celebrate 50 years of Corrie.
The album is made up of new tracks to ‘chart the epic musical journey’ of the history of the show.
We aren’t quite sure what that means but Kym Marsh as Elsie Tanner and Rachel Leskovac as Bet Lynch is something everyone should see before they die. So thanks to heatworld you can cross another thing off your bucket list.
We thought bet’s animal prints are pretty stylish – animal prints are in, right? We asked the heat fashion desk what they thought of the looks.
Rachel Leskovac as Bet Lynch:
‘Leopard print is was huge on the A/W catwalk shows and now you can’t walk a step down Oxford Street without bumping into an animal print fur. Layering up the leopard, or double leopardy as we like to call it, must be treated with caution. Only attempt if you are young, very cool and are called Jessica Hart. And definitely steer clear if you have a peroxide ‘set’ and an obsession with H Samuel.’
Kym Marsh as Elsie Tanner:
‘The classic trench coat has always been a hit but paired with a matronly, uber-high necked blah-coloured blouse it looks tired and old. Heavy, over made up eyes + red lips = transvestite. Sorry. Just a flick of liner and mascara needed. ’
So while Bet and Elsie may be icons, they aren’t style icons, or are they? What do you think heatworlders?
The album is out on the 29th November in Tesco.
