Could things be any more difficult for X Factor's Katie Waissel right now? Probably not. But, at least the girl everyone loves to grumble about has managed to keep a sense of humour through the whole Cohen-Cowell-Cole-gate affair... eh? Just wait till you hear her reported song choice for this Saturday night's X Factor live show!

You see, it’s Elton John week this week on X Factor. And who else could have chosen to sing The Bitch Is Back, but the show’s Gummidge-haired hate-figure Katie Waissel? The 24-year-old is the bookies favourite for the X Factor boot, but she’s apparently hoping to show her critics that she doesn’t take herself too seriously by knocking out a tongue in cheek version of Elton’s classic 1974 ditty.

Many fans are threatening to boycott the voting altogether this weekend, of course, and a low turnout may actually be good news for Katie Waissel if her hardcore followers stay loyal and keep hitting the redial button. Will it be controversial? Uh-huh. Will you be watching it? Hell, yes!
