Chaz Bono is dancing right past the controversy surrounding his casting on "Dancing With the Stars" _ and he's not even the dancing type. "I like it, but I'm kind of an introvert," he said from the nondescript dance studio. In ABC television celebrity dance, Bono and 11 other celebrities, including actors, TV personalities, and sports stars, made their ballroom debut Monday night on the season premiere of "Dancing With the Stars." Chaz Bono on Dancing Partner: "We Have Really Good Chemistry"

"I have a really good time with her. She's a lot of fun. She's really easy to be around. I think she's a great teacher and I'm really glad that I got her as a partner. I can't imagine going through this hell with anybody else."

Some of that hell includes physical "soreness," but luckily nothing serious in the injuries department. "You'll definitely see a more light-hearted side of me," Bono said. "And you'll see a dancing side of me which no one has seen before!"

For as much hate as there may be, Bono continues to take the lead from his supporters.

"I don't really dwell on the negative stuff nor do I go looking for it," he said. "I've just been getting a tremendous amount of positive tweets and emails. It's been great."

It shouldn't be any other way.
