Drifting slightly from his country roots, Underwood made a real attempt to appeal to Top 40 music audience for expanding the reach of his music. Wearing skimpy little black shorts and a pair of boots is expected from the likes of a Britney Spears or Britney Spears.
Darin show was first class and will be remembered as one of the highlights of the evening. The directors of the Grammys went with a value in Underwood to deliver a strong opening act, as they gave rehabilitation current resident Amy Winehouse a slot later in the show, after things were already underway.
Last year exceeded Underwood Faith Hill, becoming the rising queen of country music. The deadly combination of her voice surprising and beautiful looks has made her a name (not too bad for a competitor of American Idol).
