Last week American Idol gave back! And this week they were back with vengeance. Two competitors were to be voted out following last week's charity show, when no one was asked to leave and it was time for Phil Stacey and Chris Richardson to leave.
Despite his exit from the show, Stacey was grateful to be on the show, and gave his love out to his family. Stacey's wife gave birth to their second child when he was auditioning in Memphis for the show. All he said after getting voted out was...
My entire involvement with American Idol is for my children... absolutely
Stacey had been among the lowest vote-getters four times already this season, only barely dodging elimination each time. Three of those poor weeks were consecutive.
Chris Richardson, a Justin Timberlake look-alike, hugged “best friend” and finalist Blake Lewis when Seacrest announced he was going home.
Stacey and Richardson both performed Bon Jovi numbers on their last appearance. The performances were "Blaze of Glory" by Stacey and "Wanted Dead Or Alive" by Richardson. The American Idol Season 6 is almost on it's final path with just four contestants remaining. They are LaKisha Jones, Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle.
